Tilly and Mud

Tilly steped out into the jungle. This place was beotiful!!! "Come on Mud, let's explore!"

Mud looked at all his surroundings and liked it. He ran around a bit and came across a Deer. There was food here too! He loved it. He looke daround some more then came back to Trilly. " I think I found a spot were we can make a home." He said

"Me to!" she said awed. Where should we begin? Should we look for a house or should we try to find a place where we can build one?"

"Let's look for a house or shelter first. Then in the morning tomorow we can look for a spot to build one." He said

"Ok that sounds good." Tilly finaly said. Then she said, "Well let's just walk forward." so they walked and walked untill Tilly was so hot that she couldn't stand it. She stoped. "Do you hear that? Water!" then she ran forward into a stream and splashed around for a long time. The cool water renewed her energy and she felt great!

Mud rolled around in a huge mud pond by the water then came racing into the water to clean off. He drank some then looked into the woods. He saw movement and got into a hunters crouch. He sprang forward and ran into a old deer like a train hitting a car on its tracks he restled with it then brought it down and brought it over to Trilly. "I think We'll be full feed for a while." He said with pride.

"I think so too! That was such a good catch Mud!" she kissed the top of his head. "I'm going to find us some fire wood for cooking our dinner on. You stay here and make sure that mothing gets our food." then she walked into the jungle.

When she came back she started setting up the fire-pit. "Mud, will you look around for a place neer here that we can sleep for tonight? And maybe even a long-term site. I would love to live right by this stream. Oh and one more thing. Do you want your part of the meat cooked or raw?"

"As for my food,raw is ok. I'll go search around now." He started on the other side of the stream. He looked around. He had barley taken 15 paces before falling into a small hole. He knew he could get out., but he didn't. In front of him was a beautiful group of trees that let light hit the ground in a circle like way. There was a clearing that was big enough to fit a small house. He smell around. Nothing not normal. Which was a good thing. He got out of the hole which was about2 feet deep. He ran toward the stream and leap across. "I found this great place! It will be perfect! But you have to be careful because it has a 2 foot drop just befor it." He explained.

"WOW! You found it so fast! You are the best pet anyone could have!" after she said this she hugged his neck and nussled his face. He was just so soft and wonderful.

After they ate she said, "Ok, now let's take a look at our new home." she walked over to the drop and jumped down into it. When she came up on the other side she saw the cearing. It was just the right size for a girl and her tiger.

"It's geting kind of late so let's find a shelter for tonight then in the morning we will start building." she said.

After a few minuets of walking around she found a huge tree with roots that where on top of the ground. "Let's sleep in here tonight." she said to Mud. Then she piled up some blankets that she had brought with her. "Come on Mud."

mud came in and curled up and let the stream put him to sleep.

When morning came Tilly just sat a looked at the jungle. Everything was so quiet. Then she herd a cunching. It sounded like millions of leaves being cracked. Birds where crying out and she could see them flying away. "Mud wake up! Army ants are coming! We have to get to a tree, a tall tree right now!!!"

Mud got up and was alert imiditly. He scanned the area and noticed a large tree. KNowing they had to be fast he Grabbed her gentle and put her on his back and leaped for the tree. He climbed to the top and sat down on the branch.

"Thank you so much Mud." Tilly said. She put her hand on her paw as the ants went by. When they where past them she said, "Do you think we should stay up here for a little while longer or should we just hop down now?"

He let his aniaml instincts take over and he smelled around. He knew it wasn't save. He looked around then heard leaves crunching. He looked in the direction and saw two eyes looking at him. "Shh, Get onto the highest branch." He said

Tilly was was so scared and nevous she just went up and up and up until there was no up left. "Mud what is giong on?!" she wispered once they where so high up that it made her dizzy, "What did you see?"

"A nother tiger." Then he leaped down and roared loudly and another tiger appeared and roared back. They lunged but Mud was the bigger and stronger of the two and pushed the other tiger aside. "Leave" He growled The smaller tiger understood and walked off. Mud raised his head high. "It's ok, you can come down now!" He yelled

Tilly made it almost to the bottom of the tree then she jumoed the rest of the way down. "Thank you so much. I don't know what I would of done if a had a cat as a pet insted of you!" she laughed at her joke. The she got serous, "I hope that you still like it here. I know that it has been a rough first day but I hope that it will get better."

"I love it here! Theres excitment and adventure!"He said Then looked serious."You still likre it too, right?"

"Oh I liove it to!"

"So what next" he asked

"Well we should find a home. What do you think about building a house around the tree that we slept under last night? The roots would make a good bedroom and the we could just build more rooms around it. What do you think?"

Thats Sounds great!" He says while playing around

"Well you get the wood because you are the strongest. I'll get the leaves and slats for the roof. Oh what do you think about building it off of the ground? That way the ants cant hurt us."

Tilly walked off to find the leaves and the slats. When she came back Mud was no where in sight so she climbed to the lowest limb of their tree and waited.

Mud walked back to the house with a deer. "I thought you would be hungry"He smilies past the mouth full of deer.
