Mike put down his stuff and watched the tour bus leave. It was just him and ford now. "Ford, I'll start setting up our home by that large rock. It gives shade so we won't sweat to death." He walked over to the rock and started unloading their stuff. He had brought a popup tent, a cooker, some food, blankets because the desert is known to be really cold at night, and clothes, He also brought fords chew toy and bowls of food and water. "Ford come on over into the shade." The tent was set and the sun was setting.

"Ok I will." he padded over to sit beside Mike in the shade. He started looking at the ground very had then a of a sudden he jumped up and started digging. He was still digging when the sun went down. When he finaly stoped about an hour into the night=time he looked up at Mike proudly. "Well, what do you think? I dug down to the underground water supply! Now we wont have to go to twon to buy water!"

Mike patted Ford on the head. "Great job!" He took cowl from his bag and filled it with water. He placed it on there fire. "Just to make sure it's clean." He said then placed some in a cup and gave some to Ford when it was cool. He yawned then fell asleep.

Ford rolled up next to him. He was so tired after diging for so long that he was asleep before his eyes closed.

Mike woke up to the sun coming up.

Ford woke up when Mike started stiring. "Sunrise in the desert is the best of anywhere, or so I'm told," Ford sai as he came up behind Mike, "I don't think that they where lieing, it's amazing."

Mike nodded his head in aggrement. "I have another Friend coming to stay with us if thats ok Ford. Shes a cat. She will be usefull as a buddy to us and a hunter." He took out some food and put some in a bowl for Ford. He took a bite of his own food.

While Ford was eating he thought, *I hope that she's not some softy cat.*

Mike went out real quick then came back with a box. "Ford, Come here buddy." He placed the box in the tent."

Ford folowed Mike into the tent. He said uder his breath, "Please, Please, Please..."

Mike opened the box.

Ford tryed to see into the box but he couldn't. After waiting for a fewminuets hesaid, "Comeon!Tell me!"
